Cupertino

“Near the Heart of Silicon Valley”

The City of Cupertino

Cupertino is located in Santa Clara County directly west of San Jose with portions extending into the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The San Francisco Bay Area is 45 miles away with the Northern California coastline, complete with sandy beaches and working harbors, nearby in sunny Santa Cruz and Monterey. Lake Tahoe is a few hours away with its snowcapped peaks and fun-filled gaming.

Cupertino is one of many cities who lay claim to being the “heart” of Silicon Valley, as many semi-conductor and computer companies were founded here and in the surrounding areas. A former farming community of fruit orchards and vineyards, Cupertino today is home to some of the biggest names in technology, including Apple Computers and Hewlett-Packard. The town is a thriving combination of high-technology industry, retail and residential neighborhoods.

Cupertino houses the University of California system and De Anza and Foothill colleges, and has one of the friendliest climates in the United States.
