The City of San Diego

San Diego, named after Saint Didacuss, is the ninth largest city in the U.S. and second-largest in California. It lies on deep canyons and hills separating its mesas, creating small pockets of natural parkland scattered throughout the city and giving it a hilly geography.

The City of San Diego is committed to providing quality services to seniors and their families. According to a recent Mayor’s report, “Seniors are one of the fastest growing demographics within the City. By 2010, the number of senior citizens aged 75 and over in San Diego County will be 81% higher than the number of seniors in 1990.”
