Specialty Care Communities cater to individuals with special needs. Programs and environments that promote health and wellbeing are available to individuals who may find benefit in social and/or mental stimulation.
Adult Day Care centers have increased in popularity in response to the needs of a rapidly escalating elder population and their caregivers. It is a planned program of activities designed to promote wellbeing though social and health related services. Adult Day Care centers provide older adults the opportunity to get out of the house and into supervised activities while giving caregivers a much-needed break.
Centers that specialize in helping to exercising the mind and memory can help an individual stay mentally sharp. Recent research suggests that good health habits and mental stimulation may prevent dementia altogether or at least delay its onset. Dementia/Alzheimer’s Care centers create a supportive environment that promotes happiness, independence, safety, and accessibility. Caring staff and a variety of activities encourage mental awareness and health.
